Do less,
grow more

You make doing your own thing work: attending the webinars, downloading the freebies and piecing together strategies that you’ve seen work for others.

And the minute things get “sales-y?” You feel like Harry Wormwood (a.k.a. Matilda’s dad).

You want to grow, but your way. With more intention and at a pace that doesn’t burn you out.

That’s not wrong – it’s just that most marketing advice is from bros trying to 10x their own revenue.

I know what it feels like when the algorithm clocks that you’re growing a business. Those overwhelmingly urgent freebies clogging your feed? Not yours.

That’s where I come in…

At Slow & Steady we go slow to stay steady – so you can reach your goals while staying in alignment with your values and your vision of success.

  • I combine 20 years of communications experience with both feminist business and holistic wellness lenses – so your strategy supports the whole you, not just your tasks.

  • Marketing isn’t one-size-fits-all – which is why I tailor support to your goals, values and working styles so you can stay consistent and aligned.

  • My goal is to help you build momentum without sacrificing the rest, rhythm or the reasons you started your business in the first place.

Sound like the way you want to build?

You started your business to align your work with your values… Me too.

Here’s how Slow & Steady’s core values guide everything we do.

Integrity: We do what we say we’ll do – and we only say yes when we mean it.

Collaboration: You’re the expert in your business. I’m here to support, not steamroll.

Radical Generosity: I give freely – ideas, templates, encouragement, pep talks – because there’s more than enough to go around.

Curiosity: I ask a lot of questions. Not to poke holes, but to get to the heart of what matters.

Purpose: Busy for busy’s sake? Not my thing. We keep strategy and your deeper goals in focus, always.

Humour: The perfect GIF at the perfect time is an essential part of any marketing plan.

It’s not just you:
Most marketing advice isn’t made for businesses like ours

When I was building my first business – and later working inside the women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem – I kept noticing the same thing:

There was no shortage of marketing advice available, but marketing was still the number one thing entrepreneurs were stressed out about.

They knew they had to market their business – but not how it contributed to their success.

And it was never just marketing, it was also showing up in ways that they had been told not to, in places that weren’t designed for them, on platforms run by billionaires that hold opposing values to their own.

Marketing didn’t just feel like a chore, it felt like a compromise

And when it didn’t work, they blamed themselves.

This disconnect is exactly what I’ve spent my career trying to solve

Over the course of my 20+ years I’ve been:

  • A legal office administrator - which makes me really good at spreadsheets and systems

  • A holistic nutritionist - which helps me find the root cause, not just treat the symptoms

  • A podcast host and published author - which helped me understand how to build an audience from the ground up

  • The Director of Communications & Marketing at two different women’s entrepreneurship organizations - which gave me a front row seat to the challenges (and opportunities) facing women entrepreneurs

Now I bring all of those skills together with Slow & Steady – supporting small business owners who want a more thoughtful, values-aligned approach to growth.

I started Slow & Steady to get free

Free from the corporate grind that constantly asked me to sacrifice myself in pursuit of capitalism, white supremacy and patriarchy.

Free from the algorithm and constant, manufactured urgency.

Free to use the marketing communication skills I’ve developed over my career to support solopreneurs and creative entrepreneurs, an overlooked but powerful segment of business owners.

Here’s what I know in my bones – a better world is possible, for all of us.

I believe that we can get there by advancing the Feminine Economy, a holistic vision for a new economic paradigm, founded on feminine and feminist principles, one slow and steady business at a time.

I don’t sell magic formulas or swipeable six-step plans.

Because the most effective strategy? Is as unique as you and your business.

I help build businesses that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside

When I’m not digging into creative small businesses you’ll find me hanging with my little family of three in Toronto, tending to my rooftop garden, watching Sunday night HBO prestige TV or taking a long walk… listening to a podcast about Sunday night HBO prestige TV.
